PIAZZA GHIBERTI – UNA METAMORFOSI URBANA
Interior / Architecture
Design competition
First floor
2005
Design Contest for the urban resettlement of Ghiberti Square in Florence. The urban composition preserves an open space as a central and significant element: the square doesn’t live by itself but needs to be “created” by one or more perspective basis, which constitutes the true generator system of open space. At the heart of it, the great shelter acts as a bivalent space suspended between the universities and the neighborhood, as if it is a filter, a driving director, a luminous signal in the middle of the night.
