A domestic retreat for a hospitality entrapreneur with a background in fashion, this intimate and very bright 70-sqm apartment overlooks the most secluded corner of Piazza Donatello in Florence, surrounded by tree-lined gardens. To further enhance an already well-established partition between living and sleeping areas, the project focused on creating a large opening between the kitchen and dining area, which are combined into one large room with double exposure. The essential finishes favor the absolute simplicity of Farrow&Ball’s wraparound Allwhite, which also covers the original vaulted ceilings, combined with the warm tone of the brushed honey oak floor, with French herringbone laying. Custom-designed kitchen made by Lube, vintage armchairs and furniture; dining table with bronzed metal frame and back-lacquered glass top, Slim by Sovet.
