Urban redevelopment of the Livorno area – Barriera Garibaldi, Europan 8 / Urbanity. Mention of the jury.
Generating open systems of flows, incorporating new elements of sociality to renewing the territorial structure. The project brings the functional program back to the center, through a programmatic element: the “plate of life” as a generator of ‘functional density’ rather than mere housing density, to host the community effective needs.
