Polvere di Marmo, a collection of objects in 3D printing and marble dust from processing waste, added to 100% natural resins.
What if we could transform the most massive, heavy, noble matter ever used by man both in ancient building techniques and in statuary art, into a delicate and subtle lace to be interwoven in almost unlimited compositions?
Thanks to the pioneering research in stone 3D printing, ZPSTUDIO has created a desk set collection, which shapes and contours could not be reached with traditional material. Marble powder, added to adhesives based on natural resins, thanks to 3D printing can create additive manufactured objects, avoiding further exploitation of natural resources.
This process has never been tried before for small objects.
With the same procedure, ZPSTUDIO has designed and developed for StudioF the “Polvere di marmo” table, whose base is a tripod entirely covered in marble dust.
“The poetry of marble can be fostered to a most sustainable and innovative level of craftmanship.”
